A reunion of friends...

Mexican edition 🇲🇽 🇬🇪

A man from Mexico, working for Heineken, gets sent to beautiful Georgia to work with Zedazen a local brewery.. The Zedazeni staff tell him if he wants a cold refreshing pint and some yummy food in a foreigner friendly pub, after a long day, that Brown's bar should be his destination. He decided to follow their advice and this leads to a unexpected reunion.
Another man is in Tbilisi and he wants to watch Premiership football and his beloved Spurs. He googles where is best to watch sports in Tbilisi and the place for sports, like rugby and football is of course Brown's Bar. He walks down to the bar unknowing that this decision will lead to a meeting a fellow Mexican.
Now, although Brown's is known as the Expats hub in Tbilisi we confess that Mexican visitors are a rarer breed of tourist in our bar. It was then only natural for our staff to notice and in keeping with our 'home away from home' vibe, to introduce the two Mexicans to each other.
However what happened next was an unbelievable turn of events. It soon became apparent that, even though Mexico is a huge place with an estimate population of over 130 million people, these two gents not only knew each other but had in fact went to school together some 25 years ago. What were the chances of 2 Mexican guys to reunite in an English bar in Tbilisi. Acquaintances were renewed and celebrated, frothy pints of cold Heineken were consumed and there may even have been a small tequila or two.
You can see from the smiles on their faces that this was a brilliant reunion of old friends at Browns bar. So come visit us, we cannot promise a reunion with school friends but you just never know what friendly people you will meet at Browns bar in the oldtown.

Brown’s Bar Raises 20,000 GEL for Tbilisi’s D.O.G Charity

Our weekly pub quiz brings together locals, expats, and dog lovers to support stray dogs across Tbilisi.

At Brown’s Bar, we’ve always believed that good times can make a real difference. What started as a simple Wednesday night pub quiz has grown into one of the most heart-warming traditions in Tbilisi’s nightlife. Together with our amazing guests, we’ve now raised over 20,000 GEL to support the D.O.G Charity Organisation, helping stray and abandoned dogs throughout Georgia.

Each week, teams of locals, travellers, and expats join us for a night of trivia, laughter, and friendly competition — all while contributing to a meaningful cause. Half of the quiz entry fee goes directly to the charity, supporting dog rescues, medical care, and shelter work across Tbilisi.

Our goal has always been to create a place where everyone — humans and animals alike — can feel cared for. None of this would be possible without our loyal guests who return week after week to enjoy the quiz, raise a pint, and lend a hand to those in need.

We’re incredibly proud of the community spirit that makes Brown’s Bar more than just a pub. It’s a place where kindness, laughter, and a shared love for good causes come together in the heart of Tbilisi.

The Story of Brown’s Bar

Brown’s Bar’s journey of friendship and connection in Tbilisi.

Brown’s Bar began its journey in the charming streets of Orbeliani Square, right in the heart of Tbilisi, one of the most welcoming places to enjoy a proper pub experience in the city. From the very beginning our vision was simple: to create a place where expats and locals in Tbilisi could come together, relax, and share good times over great drinks at one of the best bars in Tbilisi.

What started as a small pub filled with laughter, live music and familiar faces soon grew into a lively home for the community. After our opening chapter in Orbeliani Square we made our next stop in Rustaveli Avenue, a location that placed us even closer to the heartbeat of Tbilisi. From there our story continued forward and today we are proudly settled in Jerusalem Square 1, Kote Afkhazi Street in the Old Town of Tbilisi. This final move truly shaped Brown’s Bar into one of the best bars in Tbilisi for meeting people, enjoying a proper pint and watching live sports including rugby live in Tbilisi.

At Brown’s Bar we have always believed that a great pub is more than just a place for a drink. It is a space where friendships are built, stories unfold, and everyone feels at home whether you are new to Georgia or have lived here in Tbilisi your whole life.
